Polyurethane’s continuous operatingtemperature ranges from -30°C to +125°C — much higher than what we typicallysee in fitness clubs or gyms, unless the equipment ends up on the dark side ofthe moon. Polyurethane also has excellent abrasion resistance — up to ten timesmore than rubber and other wear-resistant materials. It has outstandingresistance to damage from moisture, water, and weather-related conditions, aswell as resistance to oil-based compounds, greases, organic solvents, andvarious chemicals, such as gasoline. This also matters when transportingproducts to the club.

It has the ability to absorb shocks, vibrations, and impacts, making it perfectfor bumper plates, for example. Importantly, polyurethane can be easily coloredbut does not stain other materials it comes into contact with.
